When working with brides, grooms, and families involved in planning a wedding, why is it important to talk about communication? Especially in times of COVID-19, we are all searching for unique ways to contact others.
As you may already know, speeches are a big wedding tradition, but is that tradition fading? We’re seeing more and more couples opt to either do speeches during the rehearsal dinner or forego them all together. In this blog we’ll talk a little about the benefits of each, who the typical key speakers are, and help you try to figure out which is best for you!
Our next TangiBrides are Jerica + Hannah Fletcher! Jerica and Hannah went to high school and then reconnected during college. The couple was together for 5 years before getting married on August 8, 2020 at The Oaks Wedding & Event Center. They started wedding planning after their engagement when Hannah proposed privately at home in front of their Christmas tree!
Hours have been spent planning and discussing. You’ve made phone calls, sent emails and texts. Dresses have been altered, final confirmations with vendors have been done, and it is officially 7 days until your wedding. AHHHH! Everyday you get in your car to drive to your destination and relax while listening to music. What used to be a calm time, now creates stress. Your DJ sent you a questionnaire and there were songs that you need to choose that you didn’t even know! Before you receive that daunting questionnaire, be prepared for what type of music you are looking for!
Upon returning home from the honeymoon, the busyness is far from over! One of the big things is changing your name, if you choose to do so! While this is traditionally done, it is not required for either partner to change their last name. One of the first steps is to gather original or certified copies of your marriage certificate, birth certificate, driver’s license or government-issued ID, original social security card, and application for a social security card.
Our next Tangi Bride is Darcie Carter! Darcie met her husband, Kyle, through social media. After dating for a while, the two got engaged on Christmas Eve. The two of them were opening gifts and Kyle gave Darcie a book that held every picture they had ever taken together. Way to go Kyle for searching and finding every one! After that, Darcie opened a larger box that she thought was a comforter she had been wanting.
Details are important, even to the very end! After you’ve planned everything, you don’t want everyone standing around looking at each other at 10 pm after the last song has been played. When you’re doing research, take a look at these eight send off ideas to have a picture perfect exit!
Get to know the story behind Elevation Films! This company is run by Andrew Benton and is based out of Holden, LA. Andrew graduated from college with a degree in visual arts and began Elevation Films. This was the perfect route for him to take because he always valued capturing special moments with family and friends growing up. This has been important to him because at a young age he lost his father in a tragic accident. He has very little to remember him by today, so he wanted to make sure that special moments with his family have been captured since!
