Our next Tangi Bride is Darcie Carter! Darcie met her husband, Kyle, through social media. After dating for a while, the two got engaged on Christmas Eve. The two of them were opening gifts and Kyle gave Darcie a book that held every picture they had ever taken together. Way to go Kyle for searching and finding every one! After that, Darcie opened a larger box that she thought was a comforter she had been wanting.
She opened that box to find a much smaller one. She then said “Oh, you got me earrings!” Upon opening that box, she looked up to find Kyle down on one knee. Both of them were crying and somewhere between the tears, Darcie squalled, “YES!”
In the months following, the couple went to work planning their wedding day! The inspiration behind their day was “White Fall”. They utilized pumpkins, oil lanterns, and various white items. All of their decor was DIY. Shout out to Darcie, Kyle, and their family and friends that put everything together!
When choosing the wedding day look, Darcie made most of the decisions and told her groom what to show up wearing. Though she chose what each of them would wear, some advice Darcie gives to Tangi Brides planning their wedding is that some arguments aren’t worth it. Make sure you and your partner learn to compromise!
Throughout the planning process, Darcie’s wedding planners were Mary Adams and William Spiess. Each of them made sure Darcie and Kyle’s wedding day went off flawlessly! Another tip Darcie shares is that if you’re doing DIY decor, make sure everything is in boxes, organized, and labeled. This will be helpful so that you can have other people set up and they won’t be constantly asking you where everything goes!
On October 21, 2018, Darcie and Kyle were married at The Berry Barn for their beautiful White Fall wedding! Each moment was captured that day by Brittany Dufrene Photography. One of Darcie’s favorite parts of their day was getting to enjoy her mother’s cooking! She especially enjoyed the beautiful cake baked and decorated by SugarBelle Cake Shop.
