BRIDE STORY: HANNAH + JERICA FLETCHER

Our next TangiBrides are Jerica + Hannah Fletcher! Jerica and Hannah went to high school and then reconnected during college. The couple was together for 5 years before getting married on August 8, 2020 at The Oaks Wedding & Event Center. They started wedding planning after their engagement when Hannah proposed privately at home in front of their Christmas tree!

When planning for their wedding day, Hannah and Jerica tried their best to implement their everyday lives. Their bridal party included a diverse group of friends. They wanted everyone’s style and story to be seen throughout the evening from their outfits to their role in the wedding! Jerica’s advice for TangiBrides planning their wedding is, “Don’t stress yourself out! I tried my hardest to roll with the punches and try to see the positive in every situation. By having that mindset and such an amazing group of friends behind us, everything exceeded our expectations!”

Prior to their wedding, Jerica had a VIP appointment at Ashley Renee Bridal! This was a private time with her bridesmaids for her to find her perfect dress. Hannah chose an off white women’s suit that was inspired by a look she found on pinterest. The makeup was done by Artistry By Ashton. Florals for their big day were done by Especially for You Florist! Jerica’s bouquet consisted of garden roses, succulents, and luscious foliage!

The Oaks Wedding & Event Center is all inclusive, Jerica said they only had to provide any personalized decorations. Jerica and Hannah’s favorite colors, grey and blue were used in the wedding with pops of Marsala to bring it all together. Because they had an August wedding in the Louisiana heat, the couple provided personalized fans that included the ceremony order and bridal party names to keep their guests cool!

Jerica completely recommends a first look to other TangiBrides preparing for their big day! She said “not only do you get genuine reactions and a special moment with each other, but knocking out bridal party pictures before saves you so much time and allows you to have more time at the reception with your guests!” Jerica and Hannah’s reception was one they definitely wanted to enjoy! With cake from the Cocoa Bean Bakery and a DJ that was provided through the venue, they danced the night away. A unique touch during their reception was the money dance. Jerica has danced all of her life, so instead of a typical money dance, the couple did a dance marathon!

When it was time for their big day, Jerica and Hannah had the moment captured by Just Be PhotoJennic and Music Source Media. From getting ready, to ending out their perfect night with the people they love, Jerica said one of her favorite parts was the first look! Being able to share a time with each other to process emotions and reflect on how far they’d come was such a blessing for her.
